Alexa Schlechter is a Technology Integrator with the New Canaan Public Schools in New Canaan, CT, where she is responsible for helping teachers and students transform their learning through the innovative use of technology. Formerly, she was an English teacher where she was was nationally-recognized by MindShift and NPR for the innovative project-based units and assessments that she created. Throughout her career in education, Alexa has focused on project-based learning, professional development in technology, and implementing paperless classrooms. She is also a Google for Education Certified Educator and Trainer.  She has presented on Google Apps for Education, blogging in the classroom, and life as a tech coach at various conferences throughout the country. A forever learner, Alexa received her Master’s degree in Educational Technology from the University of Connecticut and is working toward her Intermediate Administrator certificate at Sacred Heart University. Her youngest students are her five year old daughter and six year old son, who both love to ski and swim together with her husband.
